An Amazon patent displays the company plans to use parachutes to drop packages on your doorstep or yard or fence.

If you even got a newspaper subscription, then you know that the paper does not always end up at your doorstep.  You may find it in the yard, the driveway, or in your rose bush. You could see your Amazon packages delivered in almost the same random manner. Amazon plans to drop your packages from a drone which then releases a parachute to complete your delivery.

So you may have heard about the Amazon Airbourne Fulfillment Center that Amazon plans to use to store packages and deliver them to customers from the clouds literally. If you didn’t, see my article on December 29, 2016.

The proposed plan is to deliver a package from the fulfillment center via a drone which then delivers the package and then drops the pack into your yard.
