Amazon unveils new LED scanner making it easier to order via AmazonFresh
Amazon has its
AmazonFresh service on the west coast
(Seattle, San Francisco, South California) that lets you order all the groceries you need, including staples like milk and vegetables, online and have it delivered to your door.
The biggest hassle for you with AmazonFresh is putting the items you need into the computer to make your order. Amazon is looking to make compiling your list of items easier with a new hardware device called Amazon Dash. The free device contains an LED scanner and lets you scan the items in your pantry and put them directly into your order on AmazonFresh.
It also has a voice recording function that appears to be aimed at generic products that don’t have a barcode or items you need when you don’t have a barcode handy to scan. Apparently, you can use it for ordering items that aren’t food-related as well. A video released with the product shows a girl ordering guitar strings using the Dash.
Dash connects to the Wi-Fi network in your home to send products scanned to the computer. If you live in an AmazonFresh area, this may be the best way to get out of going to the grocery store that you will ever see.

Fantastic, except that my grandfather will order 50 of the same thing from Amazon by accident because he will keep forgetting, lol.
