I'm hoping AMD kicks ass as much as the next guy. But blowing smoke about the Phenom, in its current state, being a better processor than the Q6600 or Q9300 is just stupidity. "Clock for clock" AMD is slower, period. Wait for the Daneb.

Palindrome, where in the F U C K, did I say anywhere in my post that the phenom was a better processor? Read my post again sir. I said it matches the C2 and under heavy load in some cases passes the C2. Never once did I say the phenom is better than the C2, so how did your stupid brain cook up that perception issue? Seriously, do you suffer from penis envy or some other twitch in your psychy? What a f-ing moron. Yes, you earned my full contempt mister peter puffer. Jesus help me.

As the load increases in these tests the phenom really catches the C2 parts or passes them. So under heavy load the AMD parts are outshining the C2 parts. Intel needs all that overclocking headroom to stay ahead of AMD under heavy loads.

^ You said the phenom "passes them". But you are comparing a 2.8GHz CPU vs a 2.6GHZ CPU. So the 1-2 FPS that the phenom manages to eek out in any situation is negated by the 200mhz "clock for clock" difference. I'm not saying, "Don't root for AMD." I'm saying, "Don't be stupid."

Also, the Q6600 is $180 at right now. So the price/performance ratio is shot if other e-tailers follow suit.

PS - Bite me.

You're telling me not to be stupid when you misquoted me? Who's being stupid again? BTW, suck my crack and enjoy the fudge.

and the war starts agian.

Intel Pros: Superior Performance, better OC, lower power cosumption.

AMD Pros: Defieor performance on par with lowered prices.

VIA: Yea, this company is gona kick the single-core, laptop, intergrated and other niche markets right in the teeth with Isaiah (I hope). (dual or quad isaiah would be nice though.)

“Then they pop up and say ‘Hello, surprise! Give us your money or we will shut you down!' Screw them. Seriously, screw them. You can quote me on that.” -- Newegg Chief Legal Officer Lee Cheng referencing patent trolls
