So the Radeon launch so far seems like a simplification of hardware tiers instead of the real product launch because the performance is in line with previous generation cards only the one low end card has the audio candy. I saw some of the new Radeons also draw a little more power for the same performance and only when the 290x comes along will we see the real frames per second increases. Oh and did notice that minimum FPS did increase on the new cards.

What I was hoping to get more info on is the Audio and how thats going to work and like to see how it will effect CPU performance. Will there be separate audio outputs because my mobo is tied to my onboard audio and my wireless headset uses the Logitech codec/chip. Guess will find out more when the 290x launch/benchies and to see how the developers leverage the audio abilities of the new cards.

Also where are the crossfire and 5760x1080 benches. So many questions I have.

Looks like you can pick up the new R9 280X and crossfire it with your old 7970.

“Then they pop up and say ‘Hello, surprise! Give us your money or we will shut you down!' Screw them. Seriously, screw them. You can quote me on that.” -- Newegg Chief Legal Officer Lee Cheng referencing patent trolls
