Yes, it's X.XGHz (Ed: Haha, I'm a bastard, aren't I?)

more i7 sleuthing...

from Tech ARP "ASUS already has full retail units of this motherboard ready for sale more than a month before the actual launch of the Intel X58 Express chipset and the Intel Core i7 processor ."

i wonder what the average amount of time is to "benchmark" a motherboard, with and without bios updates and communication time (if needed)? (at first i even read that as "for a month" .. so i thought we could get closer to a date)

sadly, launch dates don't seem to help. Core 2 launched on a Thur; Pentium 4 on a Monday. (for reference Athlon 64 launched on a Tuesday; Phenom on a Monday)

Nov 17th is the day du jour around the web for i7 release. This date is also corroborated by the evidence you present. About a month to go folks and since my mobo just dropped dead last week, I'm going to wait it out.

That W700 looks nice, but I've been leery of Thinkpads since Lenovo took over. Are people having good luck with them?
